Now whenever the camera detects motion, it will start recording onto the SD card. Tick enable motion detection and in the linkage method enable 'Trigger Recording A1'. The next step in this case would be to enable the motion detection. ![]() (Post record time is the minimum amount of time the recording will continue after the motion has occurred.). I would usually advise you to go into the advanced settings here and increase the post record time to 30 seconds or more. For this example I have set our camera up on everyday motion recording (shown here with the green blocks in the schedule). You can set up different days and time periods with different settings if you wish. Go to Schedule settings under the Storage section, with the limited size of an SD card it often makes sense in these scenarios to use motion based recording but sometimes you will want to use continuous. You can now choose whether you want continuous or motion based recording. Select the SD card and choose to format (initialize). Now go to storage Management, you should be able to see the SD card is present but not initialized. Go to configuration, and enter the time settings.(This is especially important whenever you need to check playback to check against the correct times). So, now the camera is active and set up on your network you should be able to web browse to the camera to complete the configuration.Įnter the IP address into the address bar of internet explorer and log in with the admin username and password. Now that you have activated the camera with a password you can also configure any network/IP settings. You can activate the camera through SADP by selecting the camera and then entering and confirming the password. This just means that a password has not yet been set on the camera. You should be able to see the camera on your network, and if it is a new camera it should be showing as 'inactive'.
